All Hail Barbara Boxer - one lonely senator to represent all the non-sheep of America
and shame on every Democrat who let her stand alone, especially Durbin & Obama,
who had wide support among their constituents, but not enough courage

(Chicago Rash Audio Potential #101 - January 23, 2005)

* www.optruth.org  - non-partisan Iraq veterans speak here on Wednesday

* having experienced the crowd control at the Republican National Convention in NYC and the inauguration in DC, it is worth noting that only in Chicago will you find a police force dressed up like ridiculous halloween starwars-troopers - someone should take Little Prince Richie aside and explain to him that anti-war demonstrators are generally unarmed; and maybe someone could also read him the first amendment to the Constitution where it says: "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech ... or the right of the people peaceably to assemble ..."  Nothing there about refusing to issue permits, or designated areas for 'free speech', or allowing intimidation and unprovoked abuse by police... why is our supposedly Democratic mayor a bigger fascist** than George Bush? and who is paying for that outrageous goon-army anyway? oh, that's right, we are....

** Fascism: (from Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 9th ed.) " 2: a tendency toward or actual exersise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control "

btw: Red Cross ladies wearing 'Disaster Relief' aprons passed out coffee to the inaugural police line, probably not an intentional comment on Bush stealing another election -

* BARBARA BOXER FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008!!!
Barbara Boxer, US Senator from California, needs signatures for her petition to challenge Condoleezza Rice's appointment. Please sign the petition NOW and forward to everyone you know ASAP
http://ga4.org/campaign/ricehearings

- Obama, you suck - as a politician with integrity you could have been elite, as a career-building kiss-ass you are just another example of how democracy fails; it would have been a tiny honorable gesture to vote against Condoleezza Rice's confirmation, and you let us down! at least that nutcase Keyes had the courage of his convictions - apparently you have neither. Half of US voted against Bush, yet the Senate Foreign Relations Committee endorsed this bride of satan by large majority - our system does not represent!  www.savagesound.com/images/cozy.jpg - barack gettin' cozy

IT DOES NO GOOD TO HAVE A VOICE IF YOU DON'T USE IT!!!

<<< Cost of War in Iraq counter: $151,269,870,534 as of Jan. 23, 2005 >>>

<<< Iraq Body Count: 15,458 civilian deaths (minimum) as of Jan. 23, 2005 >>>

- I would like to interrupt my perpetual harangue (briefly) to wax rhapsodic about the best cinnamon roll in the city, almost certainly the world. It is called a 'Morning Bun' and you get them at Selmarie, just east of Western Ave. and south of Lawrence. They are my most favorite thing ever. There are many fine well-known local bakeries - Bittersweet, Sweet Thang, Taste of Heaven, Bulldog, Red Hen, Dinkel's, Swedish, Medici,,, so that you never have to resort to a chain, but the Morning Bun is the shining pinnacle, without compare. I tell you this so that you may experience them before they are phased out, due to diminishing demand - otherwise I would not be sharing my secret....

IT DOES NO GOOD TO HAVE A VOICE IF YOU DON'T USE IT!!!

- did anyone notice cheney wearing an orange necktie during his recent visit to eastern europe, knowing full well that it was the visual symbol for the recount/recall movement that forced them to have a new and fair election in the ukraine? isn't it fascinating how they co-opt and confuse the opposition by media manipulation? if they can get a fair vote in the ukraine, why can't we? LOTS of orange in the HUGE washington counter-inaugural protest; of course, not reported...

- what they are really voting for in Iraq: USA get the hell out of our country!

- why foreign policy should not be conducted by a raging alcoholic (hey i never said i was qualified... )
www.savagesound.com/archives/rummy.htm - they call him rummy for a reason...

- the high point of my week is on Saturday when I get 2 (or 3) Morning Buns from Selmarie, just east of Western Ave. and south of Lawrence. Like a muffin-shaped cinnamon roll with pecans, and a hint of citrus in the glaze, so good that I have to ration myself to one visit per week. They are my most favorite thing ever. After trying them all, the Morning Bun is the glorious transcendental epitome (or epiphany, either way), without peer. I tell you this so that you may experience them before they are phased out, due to diminishing demand - otherwise I would not be sharing my secret....

- great stuff coming up! Plague Bringer, Vonski, Willem Breuker Kollektief, Fantomas, Melt Banana, Boredoms & more - maybe i won't move to barcelona after all... hey i know it's cold outside, just unglue your ass from the sofa and get out there, before you know it, it will be skateboard season again....
